CCPC JOINS NALOLO DISTRICT COUNCIL FOR A ROUTINE INSPECTION AHEAD OF WORLD FOOD SAFETY DAY COMMEMORATION TOMORROW

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) Mongu office today, 6th June 2025, accompanied the Nalolo District Council on a routine inspection of trading premises aimed at safeguarding consumer welfare in the district.
This activity was conducted ahead of the World Food Safety Day which is being commemorated tomorrow.
The inspections focused on ensuring that traders are selling products that are safe and suitable for consumption, in line with the provisions of the Food Safety Act and the Competition and Consumer Protection Act.
Findings from the exercise revealed that most of the goods inspected were compliant with the various legal requirements, indicating the growing awareness among traders regarding consumer rights and food safety standards. CCPC
