STAKEHOLDER COMMENTS FOR THE DRAFT GUIDELINES

The Competition and Consumer Protection Act, Chapter 417 of the Laws of Zambia, was amended by Act No. 21 of 2023. Accordingly, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (“the Commission”) is revising existing guidelines and developing new ones to reflect these amendments.
The Commission is therefore soliciting for your comments to the guidelines which must be indicated in the matrix tables enclosed herein. The Commission will be grateful to receive your comments on or before 28th August 2026 for the following guidelines:
- Guidelines for Merger Assessment
- Abuse of Dominance Guidelines
- Consent Agreement and Undertaking Guidelines
- Confidentiality Guidelines
- Fit for Purpose Guidelines
- Inspection and Investigations Guidelines
- Public Interest Consideration Guidelines
- Administrative and Procedural Guidelines
