CCPC ATTENDS THE LAUNCH OF ZATP II LINE OF CREDIT TO BOOST AGRIBUSINESSES FINANCING

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) yesterday, 17th March 2026 attended the launch of the Zambia Agribusiness and Trade Project II (ZATP II) Line of Credit and was represented by Executive Director Mrs. Eunice Phiri Hamavhwa.
The Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Hon. Chipoka Mulenga who was represented by Permanent Secretary Investments and Industrialisation, Mr. Crusivia Hichikumba officially launched the facility, noting that the initiative aims to provide affordable financing to agribusinesses, producer organizations and agro-pro cessors.
The project is supported by the World Bank Group and it has been scaled up to US$170 million, with US$30 million allocated to the Line of Credit.
Through ZANACO, the facility is expected to support about 350 SMEs and enhance access to finance, particularly in underserved areas, said boost productivity and economic growth in the agricultural sector.
