CCPC CONDUCTS TRAINING ON TRADE KINGS MANAGEMENT TO STRENGTHEN CORPORATE COMPLIANCE

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) this morning 27th June 2025 conducted a compliance training session with Trade Kings Group Management focusing on key issues in competition law and consumer protection. The training aimed at deepening understanding of the Competition and Consumer Protection Act, with particular emphasis on: - Prohibited trade practices, including abuse of dominance - Merger notification obligations and procedures - Consumer protection obligations, including fair trading, product safety, and accurate advertising - The role of internal compliance programs in mitigating regulatory risk Trade Kings is a major player in Zambia’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, and this engagement reflects CCPC’s proactive approach in building partnerships with industry leaders to ensure that businesses not only thrive but do so ethically and responsibly.
